TIP – Change Estimate Formula

When Generating Estimate- the formula (5 gal of paint in this example) is used to calculate quantity / price. 

Sq ft of paint required in this example is only 300 sq ft, and 5 gal of paint formula covers 800 sq ft.

So, the result is that 0 (zero) paint is listed in Quantity but full price is listed under cost.

To get an accurate total Quantity result and total out of pocket cost result, just enter formulas in both Quantity and Cost Records.

trunc(Quantity+.999)                for Quantity entry

trunc(Quantity+.999)*Price        for Price entry
