    Hi,

my question is “how do each type of element calculate quantities”, and maybe you have a guide for the use of various

elements and the quantities these elements generate?

I have attached 4 pictures of  quantity analysis which show different quantities genarated for volume of concrete.

One element is a member, the other is a srip footing. Both are the same sectional size, yet the volume quantity is

    quite different?

    Cheers.

    Alex

The element has an assembly added to it on the quantity tab.
That is where you would set the formula for it to know how to quantify.

    Here are two tutorials

    Thank you for that

I will check out the tutorials

It seems that a work around to use a member element for footings

is to replace with the Assembly  quantities
