Instructions from the video:

BIM Files give you the ability to import and export elements and library items from another Envisioneer catalog. You can import the entire BIM file or you can choose which elements you want to import giving you greater control on what gets added to your catalog. Cadsoft regularly adds new BIM Files for download on our site which you can download and incorporate into your work.

Select File>Export>Catalog to BIM.

In the Export Items to a BIM File dialog box, the catalog of elements is listed to the left. You can select an entire group of elements or a single element. Then click the Transfer button to add them to the BIM file list on the right. The status bar will turn entirely green when it is finished, and the Status will register: Done. Repeat for all elements you want to add to the BIM file. Once you have all the items transferred to the BIM file click OK at the bottom of the dialog box.

The SaveAs dialog box will appear. Give the new BIM file a name and click Save. The file has been created.

To insert a BIM file, select File>Import>BIM to Catalog.

The Open dialog box will appear, locate a .bim file to import. (Visit this page for a list of .bim files that you can download and import). Click Open.

In the Import Items from a BIM File dialog box, the catalog of elements is again listed to the left.  To the right is the BIM file. You can select an entire group of elements or a single element from the BIM file. Then click the Transfer button to add them to the catalog on the left. The status bar will turn entirely green when it is finished, and the Status will register: Done.

Repeat for all elements you want to add to the BIM file. Once you have all the items transferred to the BIM file, click OK at the bottom of the dialog box. The new items will be in your catalog.
