So the c3 “Patch” doesn’t uninstall c2 first? (unlike previous updates)
The c3 Setup exe claims I don’t have sufficient disk space on C:Drive even though there’s still 12.3GB free.
Existing ProgramData/v17 folder is 11.8GB but that shouldn’t be duplicated . . .
Hi Merv
Since quite a lot of work was done on C3, it is an entirely new install. You can’t use the update feature. However, during installation, it should recognize C2 and go through the “Previous Version Uninstall” that is a prerequisite. It will not account for what is being erased when removing C2 before the installation, so it will see a deficit in your disk space. You may want to uninstall it first and then install it.
Remember, you must back up your customized files and add them to the new installation.
Thanks Chantale!
I just thought InstallAware would be smart enough to take that into account

Installed V17 C3. It still exhibits crashing and deleting wall segments when attempting to REPLACE wall sections with the new wall format. Does the installation require a formal uninstall or Is the new installation sufficient to remove & replace the software ?
G’day Jeffrey!
Are you certain you’re running c3?
The email I received stated “This is a complete update that requires a fresh installation. You can download it using the link provided below.

As noted above, I had to manually uninstall c2 due to space constraints. If you have oodles of free disc space that setup file might do it all in one hit (like other patches have) but there’s only one way to find out
